TubeCAD comes with a Windows icon file that can be installed to a Windows
3.1 group under Program Manager. Follow these steps to install the
icon:
-
In Program Manager, give focus to the group (window) that you want to
hold the TubeCAD icon. For example, the group may be "applications" or "main",
etc.
-
Click on the File menu and choose "New". In the New option, choose "Program
Item" then click on OK.
-
The Program Items Properties dialog will display. Click on "Browse..."
and locate and select TC.BAT in the TC58 directory on your hard disk. The
TC.BAT name should show in your File name box. Click on OK.
-
Type in a description like "TubeCAD 5.8" in the description box (without
the quotes). This is the text that shows below the icon. (You can type whatever
you want here.)
-
Click on "Change Icon...". You will probably be shown a dialog that
says "There are no icons available for this file.", etc. Ignore this message
and click on the OK button. The Change Icon dialog should display
now.
-
Click on "Browse...". Move back to the TC58 directory and select the
TC58.ICO file. This is the TubeCAD icon file. Click on OK. The Change Icon
dialog will display with the TubeCAD icon in it. Click on OK.
-
You should now be in the Program Items Properties dialog again. Click
on OK.
-
You should now see a TubeCAD 5.8 icon in your Program Manager's group.
If you don't then scroll through the window to see if you can find
it.
