TubeCAD creates DXF files that can be imported into other CAD packages like AutoCAD and CADKEY. Some of our customers are moving to high-end CAD systems like the SolidWorks 97 system.

SolidWorks 97 has been tested with TubeCADs DXF files and works with the following limitation: Due to the nature of SolidWorks 97, the program imports all DXF data as 2D (even if it is 3D in the DXF file).

We are currently researching the possibility of building SolidWorks 97 3D compatible files. (We are currently holding discussions with the developers of SolidWorks 97.)

If you are considering the purchase of TubeCAD and want to test its DXF files with SolidWorks 97, then you can download sample DXF files from this web site. These files are DXF files exactly as TubeCAD builds them.
