AladdinCARD Installation Instructions
To install an AladdinCARD on your PC, take the following steps:
1. Attach your protection key/s to the AladdinCARD. Several HASP units can be daisy-chained one behind the other. Make sure the screws between the units are tightened.
(Note: We can not guarantee that keys manufactured by other companies can be daisy-chained)
2. Turn off your PC and disconnect it from the mains.
3. Open the PC by lifting or removing its cover.

Insert your AladdinCARD into an empty expansion slot inside the PC.5. Tighten the screws, in order to fasten the AladdinCARD to the PC’s chassis.
6. If you wish to utilize the AladdinCARD as an extra parallel port for your PC, attach one end of the enclosed extension cable to the protection keys connected to the AladdinCARD, and the other end to the hole in the AladdinCARD’s slot cover.
7. Put the cover back on the PC, connect it to the mains and turn it ON.
Changing the AladdinCARD’s Default Setup
Your AladdinCARD is supplied with the LPT number set to LPT #3, and with the IRQ number set to None. To change these default settings, please follow these instructions:
A. Setting the desired LPT number
Your AladdinCARD has two sets of jumpers. Use the left-hand jumper to set the desired LPT number (as a default, your AladdinCARD is set to LPT #3 (Address 278)
LPT #1 (Address 3BC); LPT #2 (Address 378); LPT #3 (Address 278)
NOTE: Verify that only one jumper is set to the ON position, and that the AladdinCARD is not colliding with the addresses of other add-in cards inside the PC.
B. Setting the desired IRQ number
Use the right-hand jumper to set the desired IRQ response number: IRQ #7, IRQ #5 or None. The default for the IRQ number is None.
