SOFTWARE INSTALLATION

STEP 1: Installing the program is easy:  Run our install program (the setup.exe file) and instruct the installer to place the program in any convenient place on your computer.

Our programs never install auxiliary programs in Windows/Systems folders, so all the files are copied to a single installation folder on your hard drive.  This means that, if necessary, you can safely move the files anywhere by copying the main folder in which the program files are stored.

STEP 2: Plug the hardware key into a parallel printer port.  This will enable your program to find its license to run in full-powered mode.

STEP 3: Run the program.  The first time you run this program, it will probably display a New Install dialog asking if you want to install the hardware key driver.  The driver is software that is installed once and allows our program to find the hardware key.  (Note: This driver can be installed to as many computers as you want – but it only needs to be installed one time for each computer.)

If you have not installed the device driver before, then press “Install the device driver” button to start and install the driver software.

DEMO MODE: We know that you may simply be evaluating the software in demo mode.  If this is the case, then you can check the “Don’t show again” check box and then the “Close this dialog” button.

STEP 4: Install the hardware key device driver.  The installation program asks if you want to continue, then displays a series of standard installation screens:

HASP4 Startup Screen

HASP4 Device Driver Status - This screen shows you if it found any hardware key drivers already installed.  Press the Next button.

HASP4 Device Driver Setup Options – Click on the “Typical” button.

HASP4 Device Driver Confirm Your Selection – Click on the “Next” button.

HASP4 Device Driver Installation Successful – Click on the “OK” button.

HASP4 Device Driver Setup Complete – Sometimes the device driver needs to ask you to reboot your system to allow the driver to finish its installation.  If the installation software recommends this, then you restart your computer before running our software.

At this point your installation is complete.  DXF2SV should find the hardware key when it loads.  The  label at the top of the DXF2SV screen will no longer appear unless it cannot find the hardware key.

If the  label continues to appear after the hardware key driver is loaded, then close and reload DXF2SV at least one time.  If the program still does not find the hardware key, then please contact us for diagnostic assistance.
