Approved FARO USB Driver Versions

• The latest approved FARO drivers are 5.8.3.2, 5.8.5.2 for older (non Quantum) arms.
  
  
• The latest approved FARO driver for the QUANTUM arms is 6.0.1.9.
  

Checking the Current Version

You can check the current version of the FARO driver on your system in the "Control Panel\Programs\Programs and Features" window in Windows.

Downgrading Versions - Uninstall Newer Versions First
If you are switching from a newer version to an older version, but sure to uninstall the newer FARO driver first.

Download Approved Drivers

1. FARO USB Driver 5.8.3.2
   
2. FARO USB Driver 5.8.5.2
   
3. QUANTUM ARMS ONLY: FARO USB Driver 6.0.1.9
   

Non-approved Versions

1. DO NOT USE Version 5.8.4.5 with VTube-LASER. Customers have experienced issues related to entering and using the calibration windows with this version.
   
   
2. DO NOT USE Version 6.0.0.63 with VTube-LASER. Customers have experienced issues related to exiting the Scanner Control window during scanning. This issue has been fixed in 6.0.1.9.
