This document discusses the positioning of the measuring center relative to the bender for installation and training.

Our cabling systems can handle distances up to 4000 feet (1220 meters). However, there are good reasons to perform initial installation and training with the two machines within visual distance of each other.

          1. Corrections-loop training requires that we walk from the bender to the measuring center  and back several times. We've performed several of these installations and know from experience  that repeatedly walking 150 meters for every corrections loop during training will take much time and  possibly fatigue the trainees.

          2. During training, it helps to see both the bender and the measuring center user interfaces as the machines interact.

          3. We prefer to perform initial tests of all pieces together while they are near each other.

For these reasons, we strongly advise that the bender and the tube measuring center be placed next to each  other at least for installation and training.

Any extra cable can be coiled between the two machines during this initial stage of installation and training,  Thus proving the system's long-distance capabilities. After training is complete, the customer can run the cable  and roll the measuring center to its final location.
