This document discusses the twisted pair cabling requirements under ARCNET when using a Contemporary Control PCI20-TB5 board.

Benderlink for Flexbender communicates with the Flexbenders using the ARCNET protocol. We use twisted pair wire for the connection between the two systems. The standard board that we use, the Contemporary Control PCI20-TB5 requires both a MINIMUM and a MAXIMUM distance of cable between nodes.

MINIMUM: 6 feet MAXIMUM: 400 feet

Also, according to Contemporary Controls documentation, this board can run on a system that connects up to 8 ARCNET nodes.
