This menu allows data from the benders to be saved
directly to the Benderlink hard drive or network path.
The buttons on the main menu are:
1. The SAVE button
2. The EDIT button
3. The ASK BENDER button
4. The USE NAME button
Exercise care when using an existing name: Benderlink will overwrite
the existing data if you choose an existing name.
5. The DRIVE buttons
The HARD DRIVE button uses a fixed path of C:\BENDERLINK\DATA_BENDER
to store part data.
The FLOPPY DRIVE button uses a fixed path of A:\.
The OTHER button uses any other path set in the "Set Other" button.
6. The EXIT button
Buttons
This button is used when you are ready to SAVE the bender data
to the Benderlink hard drive or path.
The Edit button is used to edit the FILE NAME to use for
saving the data.
Since Benderlink is a true 32 bit program, you can use long filenames
when creating a file name.
This button lets you ask the bender for the current drawing
number being used in the bender. The name, once retrieved, is
places in the Channel File Name box to be used as the file name
on the Benderlink disk.
KEINS and Chiyoda bender controls only allow 16 characters, so the
name returned will never be longer.
This button lets you use the name of a current file on the
Benderlink disk.
These buttons let you specify the path where the files are to
be created.
The Current Channel Files box updates every time you push one
of the DRIVE buttons. If you push the FLOPPY DRIVE button
when the drive is not ready, then Benderlink will automatically
switch back the standard HARD DRIVE location.
Allows you to exit this menu without saving data.
Benderlink channel files always use the name that you create plus
a hidden filename extension of "channel". All the files displayed
in the SAVE CHANNEL menu are only files that use this extension.
