EAGLE-EATON LEONARD Measuring Centers

The EAGLE-EATON LEONARD
Competitive Bender Interface

The Advanced Tubular Technologies Benderlink package links TRUMPF-PULZER benders to the Eagle-Eaton Leonard Laservision measuring centers using a protocol designed for Advanced Tubular Technologies named the “ATT” protocol.

In order for this measuring center to communicate using the ATT protocol, it is very important that you have the version of Laservision Vector Software that supports this protocol by purchasing a Competitive Bender Interface kit from Eagle-Eaton Leonard.

This document will help you to be sure that you are ready for communications with Benderlink software:

  • Check with Eagle-Eaton Leonard to learn if you need to purchase the Competitive Bender Interface kit for your VECTOR measuring center.

  • When you are communicating with the Eagle-Eaton Leonard organization, be sure to tell them that you will need to use the "Advanced Tubular Technologies" or "ATT" protocol.

  • If Advanced Tubular is providing on-site Benderlink installation, then we can also install this kit for you if you desire. This kit usually includes 5 new serial ports and a computer board that must be plugged into the back of the Laservision. It also includes an upgrade diskette. We can install both if necessary.

  • If you already have ports 11 through 15 on the Laservision and they are DB25 style, then you probably already have the proper hardware for this kit. If this is the case, then check to see if you have a version of VECTOR software that will support the ATT protocol.

  • If you have the correct version of VECTOR software, and already have the Competitive Bender Interface kit, then check with an EEL technician to be sure that the ATT protocol is ENABLED in your VECTOR software.

  • Finally, check with TRUMPF-PULZER or Advanced Tubular Technologies to get the specifications for a Benderlink computer (Windows-based)that will be positioned between the bender(s) and the EAGLE-EATON LEONARD measuring center. (This is required because the VECTOR does not support Benderlink for TRUMPF-PULZER on the same computer.)
