This package is designed for the customer that prefers a complete industrial hardware/software package solution installed directly on each bender. Our Benderlink Control computer contains the specialized Benderlink hardware pre-installed inside the industrial computer case for excellent security and protection.

The Benderlink Control System is composed of the following items:

Control System Features

1. The Benderlink control is self-contained for easy installation and replacment.

    Installation is greatly simplified because the unit now only requires the use of four bolts to attach the mounting plate to the bender. (The old control unit required that the computer be mounted inside the bender, and separate from the Benderlink touch screen control.)

2. The Benderlink control is rugged and designed to withstand the industrial environment.

    The unit is completely enclosed with 1/8" thick aluminum. The box acts as a heat-sink for the internal components. Internal fans allow air to be drawn into the box for controlled cooling. All cables are attached using rugged AMP circular metal connectors. The 100 megabyte zip drive, and the standard 1.44 megabyte floppy drive are enclosed in rugged housing on the top of the control unit.

3. The Benderlink control is designed for easy maintenance.

    The box that houses the computer is designed to swing downward on a back-mounted hinge. This enables easy access to the computer components for maintenance.

Customization
    We can modify certain components of the system to better fit each customer's application before the system ships. For example, CPU types can be customized.

Control System Warranty
    The hardware is warranted against defective parts for one year. The warranty does not include on-site labor. Please ask for the optional Maintanence agreement if you are interested in on-site hardware service. (Note: Maintenance Agreements cover both software and hardware. Annual Update Contract services covers software only.)
System Topology
  • This hardware is installed at each bender.

  • This configuration effectively adds a unique hard drive to each Chiyoda or KEINS system to which it is attached.

  • Each control system can be attached to a measuring center using a dedicated cable.

  • Since each system contains an Ethernet board, it is possible to link the Benderlink control to your LAN. This enables other computers to access the hard disk of the Benderlink Control Computer, or the Benderlink operators to to save and load files directly from a LAN server.

Custom Enclosures
    We also provide custom enclosure installations. For example, the image below shows an example of a Benderlink Control mounted on a sliding shelf in a custom KEINS control enclosure.

Enclosure Stands
    Each Benderlink Unit enclosure also includes a stand device that allows the unit to be placed next to the bender on a stand-alone rolling stand.
